NetWaste’s ‘Help Us, Help You’ Campaign
Over the last two months we have been working with NetWaste on their ‘Help Us, Help You’ campaign. The campaign is focused around educating local communities on what can and cannot be recycled.
Orana Living’s participation in the campaign is through our partner business Carlginda Enterprises where the majority of our clients go to work. Carlginda Enterprises runs the recycling, or waste management, facility for Gilgandra Shire Council. Stuart, recycling team leader, is becoming frustrated with the regular contamination being found in their recyclables stream. Stuart states:
“What we don’t like is finding bags of dirty food, clothes, syringes and other objects that shouldn’t be in the recycling.”
The campaign includes a number of TV spots and radio interviews. If you haven’t seen them you can watch the Gilgandra advertisement below, or go to NetWaste to see more. All of our clients have loved getting involved and their dapple with fame.
Thank You Annette!
Thank you to Annette Irving from Warren for your feedback in The Gilgandra Weekly regarding Orana Living and Carlginda!
Annette writes, ‘Orana Living, formerly Orana Lifestyle Directions, provides its clients with not only accommodation, physical care, and support but also job opportunities, entertainment, enjoyment, and friendship. Every member of this organisation does this with unfailing regard, respect and affection that cannot be overemphasised, and it is outstanding at a state and national level’.
Thank you Annette, we highly value our staff and employees and are glad you do too!
Celebrating our new name with friends
This year we launched our new brand Orana Living, taking us forward from our previous name of Orana Lifestyle Directions.
We rebranded in order to improve our ability to share what we do with a wider audience, to tell people about our uniquely engaging, high quality support services, in step with the introduction of the National Disability Insurance Scheme in June/July 2017.
We celebrated our new name with colourful t-shirts for staff and clients, an official launch morning tea at the Gilgandra Services Club on 17 May and a community barbeque the next morning Thursday 18 May.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this opportunity to celebrate our clients, our staff, our volunteers and our community.
